Moonlight screening and discussion - Together Against Racism
Mellemfolkeligt Samvirkes Together Against Racism Group is inviting you to a screening of the film "Moonlight."
The film is being screened as a manifestation of UN's day for human rights and will be followed up by a debate on race, masculinity and poverty portrayed in the film.
Moonlight is a film set in three phases of the boy Chiron's life: As a child, teenager and a young adult.
It portrays his struggle of growing up in a poor neighbourhood in Miami with a drug addict mom and coming to turns with his identity and sexuality.
Together Against Racism is a volunteer group working towards creating awareness about everyday racism and challenge structural oppression within Denmark. We do that by creating documenting discrimination in the labour market, hosting debates and teaching workshops on structural racism. We always need new volunteers.
The screening is free.
